Ken Ofori-Atta is Chairman of Databank and its Co-founder. He was the Executive Chairman from 1990 until his retirement on February 14, 2012. Databank has been awarded numerous professional, social and leadership awards during his incumbency including being awarded the 2007 Most Respected Company in Ghana. Ken is a director of two publicly listed companies – Enterprise Group Ltd and Trust Bank Ltd of The Gambia of which he is Chairman. He is a Director at the International Bank of Liberia and is also a Board Member of the Acumen Fund, a global Private Equity Social Investment Fund and Chairman of AgriFund Manager Ltd a US30m private equity for SME agribusiness in Africa.Ken has keen interest in education. He is on the Boards of New York University in Ghana, Central University College, University College of Agriculture and Environmental Studies. He is also Chairman of the College of Agriculture and Consumer Science of the University of Ghana; and a member of the President’s Council on International Activities of Yale University. He is Co-founder of the Africa Leadership Initiative of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. Prior to co-founding Databank, Ken worked at Morgan Stanley and Salomon Brothers on Wall Street in New York. Ken went to Achimota School in Accra, Ghana; he has a BA in Economics from Columbia University in New York and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Ken was honoured as a Donaldson Fellow at Yale University and a John Jay fellow at Columbia University. He was twice honoured by PWC Ghana as one of the Most Respected CEOs in Ghana. Ken is a committed Christian.He is married to Dr. Angela Ofori-Atta (a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Ghana Medical School). They have three children and live in Accra.
Keli Gadzekpo is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Databank Group. Formerly the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Group, he was responsible for the overall financial and administrative management of the firm; and garnered a solid reputation of having in-depth knowledge and understanding of domestic and international capital markets. Keli holds a B.Sc in Accounting from Brigham Young University in the US and is a qualified CPA from the US where he worked with KPMG Peat Marwick in the Washington DC office and with Steuart Petroleum in a number of capacities. He is a Mason Fellow from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where he obtained a Masters in Public Administration – Class of 2006; and is a member of the Index Advisory Council of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation; an African initiative that has been established to stimulate debates on good governance across sub-Saharan Africa and the world, to provide objective criteria by which citizens can hold their Governments to account and to acknowledge and support exemplary African Leadership. Keli is the Chairman of the Databank Foundation, which is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the Databank Group and has for the past ten years concentrated on three main areas - leadership development, education and mental health. He is on the boards of Enterprise Group Limited (EGL) – Ghana’s largest private sector insurance company; sits on the Academic Board of The Roman Ridge School, an Accra-based school which caters for elementary to upper secondary education; and serves on the board of Nature Conservation Research Centre (NCRC). NCRC is an NGO which is involved in the development of rural ecotourism and community protected areas as a means of economic development and resource conservation.
Yofi has developed excellent relationships with major participants in the domestic financial markets and also with international fund managers in Europe and the USA, thereby acquiring extensive distribution capability. He has spoken on various issues relating to finance in Africa and African Capital markets in the conferences and seminars in the US, UK and in Africa. He was on the board of GT Vodafone (GT), Chairman of DPI Print and Advertising, advisory Board member of the Oversight Committee of the Ghana Medium Term Private Sector Development Strategy. He was Chairman of the Board of GT ONETouch (a mobile telephony operator), a Member of the Special Presidential Council for Ghana Asia Business. He was also the Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Ghana Stock Exchange, a member of the Governing Council of the Ghana Stock Exchange. He serves on a number of private sector company boards and has been an adjunct lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, the West African Institute of Finance and Economic Management as well as the National Banking College. Yofi holds a B.Sc in Psychology and studied for an M.Phil at the University of Ghana Legon.
Daniel's previous experience includes administrative management at City Pagers and lecturing at the School of Administration, University of Ghana, Legon. Daniel holds a B.Sc in Business Administration (Management) with first class honours, an MBA (Marketing) from the School of Administration, University of Ghana and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Finance and Management from Sorbonne University, Paris.
Ernest holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Whittier College, California and a MBA from United States International University’s School of Management, San Diego, California
Geta started off her career in the UK in the Chambers of Lord Elwyn Jones before returning to Ghana to join Tetteh & Co where she was involved in the provision of legal consultancy services in a civil and corporate law practice. Geta then took up a number of senior management positions at Sydals Limited encompassing various responsibilities including being responsible for the organisation’s Administration, Human Resource Management and Sales and Marketing divisions. Geta subsequently worked for the Institute for Economic Affairs as Programmes Coordinator where she was responsible for setting up and running the Institute’s Legal and Business Studies Centre and later on, the Institute’s Governance Centre. Geta’s career spans an 18 year period during which she has gained immense experience in legal practice, business administration and public policy work.
Richard Okyere-Fosu is an Associate Director and the Group Head of Information Technology at Databank. He has over 15 years practical experience in systems development, infrastructure design and project management. Richard has an outstanding leadership in implementing large IT projects for Corporate, State and Federal Government clients. In addition, he possess a keen strategic awareness in aligning business strategy through innovation and the use of technology. Before joining Databank, Richard worked as a Project Manager for Nortel and was responsible for managing projects for Blue Chip companies in the EMEA region. Before Nortel, he was a Senior Technical Consultant (Program Director) for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), USA and a Scientific Officer for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), UK. Richard holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Kingston University, UK and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Richard has been conferred a chartered engineer status (CEng) and is a member of the British Computer Society (BCS). |

Yofi Grant is an Executive Director with responsibilities to Databank Financial Service Ltd and Databank Private Equity Ltd. Yofi has over 13 years experience in banking and finance. Prior to his joining the firm, he was at Cal Merchant Bank in a number of capacities including head of capital markets, His experience includes treasury, financial restructuring and management, divestiture and privatization as well as equity, debt and project finance. He has been team leader of a number of ground breaking transactions in the domestic capital markets.
Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh is an Executive Director - Head of Databank Asset Management. Daniel was formerly the Head of Research Unit at Databank.
Oladimeji Adedara is an Executive Director - Finance and Administration of Databank Group. He begun his career as an Accountant in 1994 and joined Databank as Accounts Manager in July 1996. He was saddled with additional responsibility of handling the Fixed Income desk the same year. His outstanding performance served as a solid foundation for the Unit. In 1998 he was promoted to the position Chief Accountant. He supervises the finance and administration of the group within and outside Ghana.
Ernest D. Akore is an Executive Director - Databank Brokerage and Retail Services. He worked with Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank in California for fifteen years. With a track record of demonstrated excellence in the banking industry, he relocated to West Africa in 2001 where he took up the position of Chief Operating Officer of Trust Bank Limited in the Gambia. After helping with the reorganization of Trust Bank Gambia, he moved back home to Ghana as Executive Director of Databank’s newly constituted Client Services unit.
Geta Striggner-Quartey is a Barrister at Law and currently holds the position of General Counsel of the Databank Group and an Associate Director. Geta holds a BA in Law and Sociology from the University of Warwick UK, an MBA from Henley Management College in the UK and was called to the English and Ghana Bar in 1986 and 1988 respectively.
