Joyce Aryee (Chairman)
Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee is the Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries. She is also a Management & Communications Consultant.
Dr. Aryee is a former Minister of State in Ghana and also the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines. She draws her experience from over 40 years of service to the nation, dealing with a wide range of issues including environmental protection and public relations. She was awarded Companion of the Order of the Volta, Ghana (CV) by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana in 2006. She is also the recipient of the CIMG Marketing Woman of the year 2007 award and has been named in the list of 100 Global Inspiration Women in Mining in the world.
Dr. Aryee is a graduate of the University of Ghana and also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Dr. Aryee has served on the ArkFund Board since 2007. She is also a director of the following boards: Global Media Alliance, Newmont GoldCorp, The Roman Ridge School and the Volta River Authority.
Kojo Addae-Mensah (Executive Director)
Kojo Addae-Mensah is the CEO of the Databank Group.
He is an accomplished banker with over two decades of banking experience. He has worked in Multinational banks like Standard Chartered and Barclays Bank, where he played various roles across Africa. He was also the Chief Operating Officer of GCB Bank before he took up his current role as the Group CEO of Databank, Ghana’s premier and biggest Investment Bank. Outside of work, Kojo is a national TV pundit and hosts various shows on radio from time to time.
Kojo assumed the role of director on the Board in 2014. His directorship also extends to the following boards: Databank Asset Management Services Ltd, Databank Balanced Fund, Databank Brokerage Ltd, Databank Epack Investment Ltd, Databank Financial Services, Databank MFund Ltd and the Databank Foundation.
Adelaide Kastner (Non-Executive Director)
Adelaide Kastner is a Senior Lecturer at the Central University.
Prior to her engagement at Central University, she worked as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School from 1996 to 2017, teaching a diversity of courses in marketing. She served the University as a Students’ Academic adviser for many years and was the Head of the Department of Marketing at the Business School from 2004 to 2008. She has also lectured at the Trinity Theological Seminary and served as external examiner to the Department of Marketing at the University of Cape Coast.
Dr. Kastner obtained a Doctorate Degree in International Business from Aalborg University in Denmark in 2003. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Management) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing), both obtained from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Dr. Kastner has been a director on the ArkFund Board since 2007. She also serves on the Council of Ghana Christian University College.
Anthony Oppong (Non-Executive Director)
Anthony Oppong is an accomplished banking executive with top-notch leadership experience in public and private large banking institutions.
He is a former CEO of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana and has held senior management positions in other firms including Barclays Bank (now Absa Bank) and Merchant Bank.
Mr Oppong holds an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana and is a Chartered Banker from the City Banking College in the UK. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Development Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology. Mr Oppong is a fellow of the Institute of Directors, Ghana and the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a member of the Institute of Leadership & Management in the UK.
Mr Oppong joined the ArkFund Board in 2023. He has also served on several boards including the Governing Council of the National Banking College, the University of Ghana Business School Advisory Board, the Ghana Business Examinations Committee of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and the Association of Rural and Community Banks, Ghana.
