Kojo Addae-Mensah (Chairman)

Kojo Addae-Mensah is the CEO of the Databank Group.

He is an accomplished banker with over two decades of banking experience. He has worked in Multinational banks like Standard Chartered and Barclays Bank, where he played various roles across Africa. He was also the Chief Operating Officer of GCB Bank before he took up his current role as the Group CEO of Databank, Ghana’s premier and biggest Investment Bank. Outside of work, Kojo is a national TV pundit and hosts various shows on radio from time to time.

Kojo assumed the role of Chairman of the Board in 2009. He also serves on the following boards: Databank Asset Management Services Ltd, Databank Ark Fund Ltd, Databank Brokerage Ltd, Databank Epack Investment Fund Ltd, Databank Financial Services, Databank MFund Ltd and the Databank Foundation.

Stephen Adei (Non-Executive Director)

Prof. Stephen Adei is an Economist.

He is a former Director General and Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a former Professor at Ashesi University.

Prof. Adei holds a Ph.D. (International Economics, University of Sydney), MSc (Strathclyde), B.Sc. (University of Ghana), Bachelor of Divinity (London) and Masters in Theology (UNISA). He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIMG).

Prof. Adei joined the Balanced Fund Board in 2003 and is a director on several boards including Accra College of Medicine, Adansi Rural Bank, Ako Estate Ltd, Databank MFund, and Ghana Christian High International School.

Kwadwo Asante-Abedi (Non-Executive Director)

Kwadwo Asante-Abedi is an IT Consultant and Managing Director at ePareto.

He has also held different positions at Explainer DC Ghana and Capita Financial Group in the UK.

Kwadwo Asante-Abedi holds an MSc in Financial Markets & Derivatives from the London Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy from the London Guildhall University. He is also a Certified Agile Development Practitioner (DSDM) and a Certified Project Manager.

He joined the Balanced Fund Board in 2015. Mr. Asante- Abedi is also a director on the following boards: Capability Consult Ltd, Databank Ark Fund Ltd, ePareto Ltd, Simnet Ltd, Preseim Ltd and Uplife Company Ltd.

Adelaide Ahwireng (Non-Executive Director)

Adelaide Ahwireng is a Business Executive.

For the past 12 years, Adelaide Ahwireng has served on the Balanced Fund Board. She also serves as Director on the following boards: Databank Epack Investment Fund Ltd, Ghana Revenue Authority, Ghana Tourism Authority and the Methodist Bookshop Company Ltd.

Elizabeth Zormelo (Non-Executive Director)

Elizabeth Zormelo is a Human Resource Consultant and an Executive Director at Zormelo and Associates.

Elizabeth Zormelo is a seasoned HR Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience locally and internationally. She worked as a Training Manager with British Rail and as a Principal Consultant for Deloitte & Touche. Prior to joining Zormelo and Associates, Elizabeth was Head of Human Resource Operations for Barclays Africa.

Elizabeth Zormelo joined the BFund Board in 2011 and her other directorships include Zormelo and Associates.
